Queen Elizabeth national park
There are three campsites which include at the student center Mweya peninsular, two campsites at the channel track and two campsites in Ishasha sector at Ishasha jungle lodges. The park is home to big four mammals, buffalo, elephant, leopard and tree climbing lions and over 600 species of birds.
Murchison Falls National Park
You can camp at the top of the falls campsite, Red Chilli Hide out lodge, delta area and at Paara on the northern bank of the river Nile.
Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
Home to mountain gorillas there are two designated campsites in north Buhoma gorilla center with one at Buhoma community Bandas and another at Bwindi view rest camps.
Lake Mburo national park
The closet park to Kampala offers three camping sites at Rwonyo Rest Campsite and Leopard campsite. Mburo is home to impalas and largest herds of zebras in Uganda.A variety of activities including walking safari, biking, horseback riding, birding, game drive, culture tour and boat cruise can be done in the park.
Kidepo valley national park
Located inthe remote north eastern Uganda, kidepo is known as Africa’s true wilderness. The semi-arid park is home to cheetah, lion, buffalo, elephant, buffalo and over 500 species of birds. Campsites are found in inside the park and include Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandasat Apoka and Kakaine campsite.
You will be able to camp right in the national parks and thus the best way to get close to wildlife and nature.
